Yeah!! The weekend is officially HERE!! :) I just love weekends because it can be so relaxing having coffee with my hubby in the morning and no chores, so I get to STAMP!!
Here we are with yet another Saturday Spotlight "countdown to Christmas"! We are on week FIVE out of our nine Saturdays before Christmas gets here! YIKES!! Well that's OK, right, because you are crossing off Christmas gifts as you're making them WITH me, right?! lol!
Don't worry, this week is a VERY simple, but effective and inexpensive gift! Everyone *NEEDS* a new calendar for the up-coming New Year, right?...so what's better than one that's STAMPED?!
Supplies Needed:
1. business card holder (mine was an acrylic one found at Walmart for 97 cents!)
2. You will need a 2009 small sized monthly calendar. You can purchase sheets of these at Sky Blue Pink or save and print out the template that I used on mine from SCS HERE. (This template will print out enough calendars to make 3 at a time!)
3. 12 pieces of cardstock (your color choices) sized 3.75 x 3.75 (decorated as desired)
4. Some yummy ribbon to tie the gift together (shown below)
5. Your choice of stamps, (BTW...the penguin image shown above is a brand new release from DRS Designs...I thought he was SO CUTE, but I didn't use him on my calendar.) cardstock, embellishments, inks, etc. (You will be making 12 months, so be sure to have plenty of items out to work with for your months!)
Step 1: OK...this is about ALL there is to it!! Just use the size of cardstock that I indicated above in the supply list and just GO TO TOWN and stamp!! :) ~ You can click on the picture for a closer look at the calendars.
These are SO FUN and quick to make up!! The size is great because you can fit the calendar plus get in a small image for decorating! Like I said, the downloadable template from SCS lets you create 3 calendars at one time!! So why not get three gifts made up for those teachers, friends, co-workers, etc. Or yourself!! :)
All the images I used on this calendar come from DRS Designs. They have JUST released some fabulous NEW IMAGES!! Go over and have a visit to look at them!!
Step 2: After you have completed all of your months, you are ready to put them inside the business card holder. Take your yummy piece of ribbon and tie it over top of all the months....this will hold them in place so that it's ready to be wrapped or given just as it is to someone on your Christmas list!! :)
Tell me you wouldn't LOVE to have one of these sitting on YOUR desk?!
Hope you've enjoyed today's Saturday Spotlight! Please join me back here again next Saturday as I will be making a gift with coasters!! Plus, next Saturday will be my LAST week for the monthly blog candy give away....and it will be a HUGE one...so don't miss it!! :)
Have a wonderful weekend friends and THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your wonderful comments!!
