Check this out! Today is another Monday DRS Designs blog challenge! Go check it out along with all the other DT creations for this challenge!! :)We were to make creations using any one of these postage frame images! (Or better known as "envelope art" on the DRS website.) Well, of course I didn't want to use mine for "just" placing a postage stamp inside the square, so I decided to come up with something a bit different! :)
If you read my blog or see me on SCS, then you probably know how i love penguins!! So I *had* to use this darling one!! I used the Interlocking Star background and stamped it on the upper portion of this card. I also stamped it on white cardstock and cut out a single star to color, cut out and mount it inside the postage square.
I finally got to use my "faux snow" for this card! got out my glue pen and sprinkled it over top and smashed it down a bit and let it dry. Stays on pretty good.
I also used my trusty Pearl-Ex mixed with hairspray and sprayed it over top of the blue card base...it's hard to see in this picture, but it's so shimmery!
Added my greeting, silver cord and colored everything in. Such a fun card to make!! :)
I can see adding a photo to the square or one of those already cancelled postage stamps!....I have several of those that I haven't done anything with yet!

This is adorable and thinking outside the box! I think I have a postage frame from DRS somewhere. Hey, I belong to their Rubber Monthly Mania club for several years.... there's got to be one somewhere. Anyway, you did it again!
