Help For Japan Special Blog Hop!

Hello friends and welcome to the HELP for JAPAN BLOG HOP!!!  We're glad you've joined us!

The illustrators of Whimsy Stamps have come together to draw a special set of digi images for the purpose of raising money for the relief effort in Japan.  All proceeds (minus PayPal fees) from the sale of these images will be donated to that cause.   Kenny K, Raindrop Echo Designs, Meljens Designs, and Crissy Armstrong all contributed art work. Now on to my projects: 

Isn't she just adorable!?!!  This is one of the Help for Japan digital stamp releases created by Crissy Armstrong called Heartfelt Angel.  I've also paired her with one of the sentiments from Raindrop Echo Deisgns Help for Japan Sentiment set.  When I colored her with my Copics, I wanted to be sure to capture the bright colors and I've tried to incorporate the Japan theme with black hair and brown eyes.  I've used some Angel Wings shimmerz paint on her wings and a gold glitter pen for her sash and swirls on her dress.  I've tried to add some gold accents with the ribbon, glitter and card stock as well.

Here's the rest of my other creation you might recognize from the "teaser" on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog today...

I think she's just darling! :)  I couldn't help but use those bright and warm colors on this image!  This is an image designed by Meljen's Designs called Kimono Bear made especially for this Blog Hop!  I've combined her with another one of the wonderful sentiments that Raindrop Echo Designs created for this hop.

So I've taken out my yummy Ice Cream Parlor papers (including the two flowers on the strips of ribbon in the corner.) and used the black for the accent colors which really made the bright colors stand out a bit.  I've used my glitter pens to color in portions of the image too.  I love those really pretty shimmery black belts on the outfits that glimmer in the sun...so I've tried to re-capture that look in my coloring. :)  And just in case you don't know what that word means...which I had to look up...it means "thank you!"
