Pile It On Guest Designer!!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!  I have something really special to share with you today!!

I've been asked at the Pile It On Challenge Blog to be a guest designer for the month of May!!

I got to pick two different challenges to play along in and this is the first of the two that I decided to participate in!!  The theme is called "Boy and Girls Come Out to Play"...which is so perfect for this time of year and everyone seems to really love those darling boy/girl images!! :)

So using that theme, here's the creation I made for it:

Don't you just LOVE this image?!!  Sarah Kay is one of my fave artists with these sweet images...and with the theme for the challenge, I thought it would be perfect for it! :)

I found these really sweet gingham/checkered papers from my stash and thought it looked so "country" and fit perfectly with the images.  No reason, but the red, white and blue color combo came out on this card and I think it looks fabulous with the "country" look!  You'll notice on the image that I've added some "dots" with my Copics markers on the grass area as well as around the kids which is something that I don't normally do, but I saw some really inspirational creations on the Make It Coulorful challenge this week and wanted to give it a try.  The sweet little sentiment that I thought also went perfect with the PIO challenge comes from a wonderful rubber stamp set at Whimsy Stamps.
