Hello friends and good evening! I think that the temps dropped down to a balmy 84 degrees last night....ack! But I'm staying in the air, so it's not bothering me! The heat advisory is supposed to be lifted late tonight and cool off just a bit this weekend. However, I'm hearing that the heat is supposed to come right back next week...so I may be staying in next week to craft some more as well! :)
I've decided to get out my Magnolias and have a play this afternoon to create a fun Summer scene. So this is what I've come up with:
Isn't she a doll? I've had this water dock stamp (that Tilda is sitting on) for quite a while now and I just bought this sitting Tilda not too long ago. (although I do believe it's an older one.) I've paired them with a beach scene digital stamp from Make It Crafty and colored it all in.
The sky was done by stamping a solid circle stamp in Versamark above the palm trees and then going over the whole sky with various colors of chalk. Of course I had to make the water sparkle! The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
This is a pretty simple creation as far as not adding very many embellishments to it, but I just didn't think it needed to have very many embellishments on it without taking away from the pretty scenery! :)
I just love a mid-Summer evening sunset, don't you?!...especially on a beach! Oh how I wish I was Tilda with my feet sticking in the water!! LOL!

Super cute! Looks like the best way to cool off. Our heat index was 109 today and we haven't seen rain in a coon's age - however long that is! LOL!
