Hello friends! BRRR!!! It got really chilly all of the sudden!
It was near 70 degrees on Saturday and then just dropped about 40 degrees since!
I believe that winter is coming shortly and then snow! (We actually had flurries Sunday night already!)
So....how about a nice warm challenge to bring you back to warmer days?!
Today begins another fun challenge at the
Elphine House challenge blog
We would like to see your "distressed stitches" for this one!
So pull out ANY Elisabeth Bell image, add some faux/real stitches and distressing!
So fun and easy, right?! Here's what I've come up with for it:
I absolutely adore this image! This one is called Carrie Swan Princess from Elphine House. I actually stamped the image twice and cut out another pair of her wings and popped them out. I also covered them with glitter that you can see. I've also added some stickles to the water, but it's hard to see in photo.
As you can see, I've used my fave color purple!! :)
The faux stitching is what I prefer and I've even done it around the die shape that I've cut out the image with. I've added ink and distressed the edges along with the edges of the other two layers. Distressing is also a fave of mine to do...love the look and texture you achieve with it. Vicki, One thing I have learned about making comments, is color is the most important thing because that is the first thing I see and the shades of lavender with the brown is stunning and the sewing really helps bring out your distress look. Your dolly helps bring back the delightful beauty of your image and the flowers are another touch of elegance. Just beautiful.
