Back again with another fun creation for you!
Hope you are all staying warm! It's been a bit chilly over my way lately and things just want to run a bit slower when it's cold! Including me!! LOL! I think I may need to pop my heater on as it gets a bit chilly in my studio area down here! (I think I was hoping for warmer weather which we are actually supposed to get by the end of this week...so maybe I will try and hold off.)
Speaking of cold, I thought I'd create the type of mood I'm in! LOL!
I made a simple CAS design today for a special challenge-
I thought that this sketch was just darling, so I wanted to give it a go. I also saw that they're having a guest design call, so I thought I'd try that out as well. I really love to create CAS style designs and make simple A-2 sized cards especially with my Stampin' Up! stamps and for my craft shows, so if I'm with a challenge that will help me to get that done, then I'm all for it! :)
Here's what I've made with the sketch:
It's hard to tell on the image, but I've used a glitter pen to make the blades shinny and it looks wonderful in person. It's hard to capture all of the glimmer and shine in a photo!
I think Raspberry Ripple is my new fave for Christmas red!! LOVE IT! I also added some papers from my new Festival of Prints paper pack. The skates image and sentiment comes from the Winter Memories stamp set. I colored them in with my Copics. I think what really makes this card stand out is the strip of silver glimmer paper behind the sentiment!
Everything I've used on this card is from Stampin' Up! with the exception of the Copics.
