Hello friends!! I'm here!
I finally feel like I'm getting back to a normal routine which I am thankful for and really needed it after all of the Holiday hoopla! :) So what a perfect way to start back into a routine with a CAS design using a stamp set that I haven't used hardly at all after I got it a while back!
I'm referring to the retired Stampin' Up! stamp set called "Perfect Words" which is a hostess set from a previous catalog. I still hang on to sets that I haven't used that much because I don't know how much I'll use it until after I've at least created a few things with it first. I certainly like it! :)
Here's the CAS card I've done:
I don't know if any of you do this, but I LOVE looking back over older magazines and catalog to try out different designs and layouts that I didn't get to but wanted...the forgot or ran out of time with something else?! LOL! Especially during the winter time, I really like to go back through them and find inspiration. That's where the inspiration came from for this card! :)
I used some seam binding and died it with an ink refill of the same color that my base card is from. I love this gorgeous color called Peach Parfait..which is also retired. I paired it with some Pear Pizazz (retired) and some Chocolate Chip which I stamped the sentiment and the heart image from the Punch Potpourri hostess set (also retired) and punched it out with my heart punch. I did use my new Chevron embossing folder to emboss the two green circles and then I used my paper piercing mat pack to add some piercing to the Chocolate Chip circle. I also added a neutral button with some linen thread on the heart.
Turned out to be such a fun design to put together! :)
I wanted to add to a couple of challenges:
Crafty Catz - Buttons & Bows
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for joining along with me and the fun! :)
Hope you stop by again soon!! So glad all of you new followers are here too!!
