Fussy and Fancy Colors

Hello friends!  Happy Friday! :0)
I am so ready for a nice and relaxing weekend...especially with all of the winter weather that is coming/or has come our way.  It's time to stay inside where it's warm and craft!

Today is a brand new challenge for you at
For this challenge, they would like to see your PINK & BLACK creations.
I've been wanting to try out this technique and thought this would be a good challenge to try it!

I've used the chalkboard technique for my card and then combined it with the other challenge color of pink.
I just die cut a piece of black card stock, embossed the image with white embossing powder and thought I would be "fancy" with some doodling in the corners with my white gel pen.  I then took a sponge and swiped it over the black card stock with white ink to give it that "chalky" look.  Easy peasy and fun! :)

I've used some brand new pretty pink ribbon that I haven't gotten to use until now and topped it with a Vintage brad.  The background pink panel was embossed with my chevron folder and then I added some black faux stitching around it.  It's pretty simple, but I thought it turned out quite elegant.

I found a few other challenges to enter with this one:
Crafting for All Seasons - Dies & Punches
Penny's Paper-Crafty - anything goes

I hope to back later this weekend with some other creations that I've been working on!
Thanks so much for popping in today!  I hope you'll stop by the Fussy & Fancy blog to take a peek at the other gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT and play along with us!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!  Stay warm and keep crafting! :)
