I'm Going GREEN Today...

Hello my friends! :)
Welcome to THE last week in February! Yay!  I'm so looking forward to March!
For several reasons, I do enjoy the month of March...it's so much closer to Spring and warm weather for one and it's a time that I can start getting outside to enjoy it!

My oldest son will be another year older in March too! YIKES!  He's just grown into this fun-loving young man and I couldn't be more proud of what he's done so far since he graduated high school! :)
I actually ENJOY doing Spring cleaning too!! LOL!!  Clean out closets, get rid of the dust and hopefully soon enough I can open windows!! :)

Anywho, with having that spirit in mind this weekend, I decided to play along with a couple of challenges that I haven't played along with for quite a while.  It just looked like fun and I wanted to join in...

This is the first card I made:
LOL!!  Isn't he too stinkin' CUTE?!!  This is a digital set from Hambo Stamps called Frog Boy!
I saw on their challenge blog called "Hambo Hoedown" a fun challenge to create a design with 'warts' or bumps..and they had this darling digital set featured for the challenge...so of course I went and got it to create something for this challenge!! LOL!
I've used an embossing folder to create two yellow panels with "bumps" and I thought it would be fun to match up the design with "Frog Boy's" belly by placing more "bumps" with my Copic markers.
I'm think this would be a great card to send to an ill child to help put a smile on their face! :)
This digital set comes with three different sentiments, which I liked and chose to go with this one.

Here are a couple of challenges I would like to enter:
Hambo Hoedown - 'warts' or bumps (use a Hambo Stamps image only)
-HamboHoedown103 - Hambo-
4 Crafty Chicks (4CC130)- Twine
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Buttons and Bows
Crafty Catz - Dies & Punches
Love to Create - Wrap it Up (use twine)
Kaboodle Doodles - use any bling

So, I decided to continue on with some more fun with another challenge that I haven't played along with for a REAL long time!  I have so many of these stamps I used to be on the team...and I still adore the people there...so of course it was fun to get my stamps back out again! :)

If you've been following my blog a few years back, then you might know that I was a design team member for a period of time for DRS Designs.  I adore the owner and the people that work there and do miss playing around with the stamps that I have from them...so I decided to play along this time! :)
Their current challenge that I found on their challenge blog is "PLAIDS"...I love plaids!  So of course I pulled out my Open Plaid stamp to make the background on this one.  No design papers needed!  I also took the Shamrock Background stamp and then punched out three individual clovers for an accent at the top of the card.  Then I added this fun Irish sentiment to it.  It's also from DRS Designs, but I can't find it in the store.  It could very well be retired by now.

Here are some challenges that I'd like to add this card for:
DRS Designs Challenge - PLAIDS (I've used all DRS Designs stamps)
CCEE Stampers (CCEE1308) - Beginning with "C":  card-stock, clovers, circles, cotton ribbon, Certianly Celery color, Criss-cross plaid stamping

I have to apologize once again for my absence in blog-land lately, but I've had to many things going on and my head feels like it's in a cloud thinking about all of these other things, but it could be that I have "Spring Fever" and just need Spring to get here! :)  I'll be around to see you all as soon as I can!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
