Thoughts & Prayers in Blue

Hello friends!
I am so happy it's the first full week in February!  You know why?!  It's because Spring will be coming along shortly...it may not seem like a "short" time, but it will be coming.  I thought the snow was so pretty this weekend coming down.  As long as I'm warm inside, I don't mind it at all!! :)

Today I'd like to share a creation with you that I made because we always need them and I never seem to have one on hand when I need one, so to make a few of them to have around is something I make myself do as I never find I want to create one when I actually "need" one.
I've used the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set for my sentiment and the inside of my card, but the flower and the leaf stem is created with the Stampin' Up! Fun Flowers Bigz L die and the Little Leaves Sizzlits die.  I like the idea of making sympathy cards in monochrome style and I also like to make them simple in style as well because I hate added too much detail or something "cute" as sometimes it doesn't feel appropriate when you are sending it to someone, especially a male or via snail mail and you may not know the person/people that well.  I also like to use colors from the Rich Regal color family as it gives a more sophisticated look to your design too.

Keeping with my "simple" style, I've chosen to play along in these challenges:
Clean & Simple - sketch
Splitcoast Stampers (CAS206) - Monochromatic card plus one neutral (mine is white)
Everybody Art - Monochromatic Blue
The ABC Challenge - 'G' for Going Dotty
Late Night Stampers - Feeling Blue

Hope you've enjoyed my creation today and I'll be seeing you again tomorrow with another creation I made for the new up-coming Elphine House Challenge!  Please don't forget you still have time to enter and be in the running for the chance to win my Elphine House stamp give away!!

Thanks for all of your kinds words and wishes for me this past week!  It's been a really weird week with several things going on that has taken up my thoughts lately, but I'm hoping this week will be much better and I can get into sharing some projects with you!!  Stay warm, stay inside and craft!! :)

Vicki, you are absolutely right, we all should have a couple of these types of cards on hand, because it is hard to make them up when you need them. Your creation is beautiful. Love that blue color and the simple design.
