I have made a special card for my hubby this Valentine's Day...so hubby...NO PEEKING!! :)
Hello my friends!
I hope that you had a great & restful weekend! I had an issue with my back recently and of course it's hard to sit in one place for longer than an hour...so this makes sitting at the computer uncomfortable.
Hubby takes care of me and has gotten out one of those massage chair mats that makes it feel better and I'm hoping that I can sit on my laptop later this afternoon to have a look around your lovely and inspiring blogs like I always love to do! :)
When I stamp in my stamp "studio", I like to stand because I tend to move around so much grabbing from here, there and everywhere! LOL! So it felt great to "move around" in my craft area to create this morning!
I've been seeing SO MANY challenges with the theme of "Love is in the Air"...so this is what I did:
The first thing I thought of with the "love is in the air" theme was hot air balloons and I knew that the You're Amazing stamp set has this great hot air balloon in it that would stamp up nicely and quickly.
I've also taken the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and stamped up the "love you" in Cherry Cobbler ink on Pink Pirouette card stock and then used the Bitty Banners Framelits Die to cut it out. (I absolutely LOVE these two products and have used it so many times!) I've also used the darling Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die for the hearts you see scattered on my design. I've popped up some of the elements on my card with some dimensionals too. The clouds are from a die that I've had in my stash a while. And since I already had my Big Shot on a good workout, I thought I would emboss the back Pink Pirouette panel with the fun Chevron embossing folder and then I punched a Cherry Cobbler border at the bottom of the Pink Pirouette panel with my scallop border punch.
Do you recognize the background papers? It's so sad that I say this, but it is THE FIRST time that I've even used a scrap of this paper pack that came out in the Holiday Catalog! It's from the Festival of Prints DSP stack. That's what so cool about it though is that although it was shown with Christmas in mind...the papers in the stack are so versatile that you really could use them all year round! So pull out those papers again and use them up! (That IS my goal this year anyway, right?!!)
Here are the challenges that I'd like to enter with this:
Mojo Monday - (MOJO280) - sketch
Fab 'n Funky - Valentine's or Hearts
4 Crafty Chicks - pink and red
Crafty Catz - Love is in the air
Daring Card Makers - Love is in the air
Card Crafter's Circle - Love is in the air
2 Sisters - Hearts
One Stop Craft - Love is in the air
The Squirrel and The Fox - LOVE
Sentimental Sundays - Love is in the air
The Pink Elephant (TPE186) - Love is in the air
Love to Create - Feelin the Love
To Challenge blogs:
(I apologize in advance to any challenges that I have combined too many other challenges together with than what I was suppose to. I do try to read the rules and sometimes it's so hard to keep track of those who limit maximum amounts and for how many they allow you to combine with. Thanks for understanding and of course I understand if my entry is deleted for that reason.)
- I write down challenges every day! :)
Since Valentine's Day is approaching quickly this week, I do have a few more Valentine type creations that I am working on today for my family...so I know I'll be back later on with more to share if you're not too tired of "feeling the love" with crafts right now! LOL!
